SOLUTION: In this top device for a vehicle provided with a top skeleton mechanism 12 freely developing and stored and fitted to a compartment part 6 of a car body 1 and a top 11 covering the top skeleton mechanism 12, and so constituted that the top 11 develops in the developing state of the top skeleton mechanism 12 so as to cover the compartment part 6 from its upper side, while the top 11 is stored in the stored state in the rear side of the compartment part 6 in the stored state of the top skeleton mechanism 12, a canvas drawing means Z drawing a side edge 11a1 part of a folding part 11a in the folding direction inside in the folding state of the top 11 is provided in the folding part 11a of the top 11.
