PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a urethral catheter less flexible by making it relatively hard, facilitate the insertion of the catheter and eliminate pain and dangers during insertion. SOLUTION: This intermittent self-catheterization catheter is made up of a urine guide tube 1 having a urine guide hole 13 in the vicinity of the tip 11, a holder 3 engaging detachably with the insertion opening 22 of a disinfectant case 2 connected to the base end 12 of the urine guide tube 1 and storing a disinfectant 21, and a cap 4 closing the outlet 311 of the holder 3. The urine guide tube 1 is a double layer tube, in which the exterior of a tube 101 made of a hard chemical resistant synthetic resin is covered with a layer 102 made of a soft chemical resistant synthetic resin. The hard chemical resistant resin forming the urine guide tube 1 is selected from among polytetrafluoroethylene, an olefin resin, a polyamide resin, and a polyester resin. The soft chemical resistant synthetic resin forming the covering layer 102 of the urine guide tube 1 is selected from among a silicone rubber, a fluororubber and a butyl rubber. |
