MULTI-BUS INTERVENTION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A multi-bus intervention system is provided to manage a plurality of PCI buses through a multi-node PCI-PCI bridge circuit combination including a non-blocking PCI router circuit. CONSTITUTION: A primary interface(300) is connected with a primary target function device(301) and a primary master function device(303). The master function device(303) is connected with a transaction routing and buffer management block(305) and a primary bus intervention device(309). The primary bus intervention device(309) determines one of access requests for the primary bus from the secondary side of PPR(PCI to PCI Router) circuit. The transaction routing and buffer management block(305) controls and manages an information request and finish routing process through a PPR buffer(307) according to a routing table(313), a bridge state control input(311), and a transaction alignment rule(315). A primary node(121) is connected with the transaction routing and buffer management block(305) through master and target function devices(241,221). A secondary node(128) is connected with the transaction routing and buffer management block(305) through master and target function devices(241,221). The nodes(121,128) are connected with intervention devices(321,328) and the buffer block(305).
