PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide magnetic material, and a production method thereof, in which loss is reduced and efficiency as a power supply is enhanced when it is used as the core material of a power supply transformer while avoiding thermal runaway due to self-heating. SOLUTION: In a method for producing an oxide magnetic material by firing an oxide magnetic material of Ni-Zn-Cu based ferrite principally comprising fe2O3, NiO, ZnO, CuO while raising the temperature to a specified holding temperature exceeding 500 deg.C, sintering is carried out, raising the temperature at a rate of 100 deg.C/h or above from 500 deg.C to 1150 deg.C (holding temperature). Mean crystal grain size of the sintered material is set at 5 μm or above thus obtaining an oxide magnetic material having high specific resistance and low loss in which the loss is minimized in a hightemperature region of 120 deg.C or above. |
