PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unnecessary trimming processing. SOLUTION: When a character exists in an adjacent line on the outside of an area, adjacent dots on the inside of the area are trimmed. In the case of processing of a head line of the area, the head line is read instead of the just upper line or read data of the just upper line are changed to background data to prevent unnecessary trimming. The same processing is performed for the last line.
