PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat developable photosensitive material having a silver tone favorable for medical diagnosis, less liable to a change of the silver tone with the lapse of time and capable of giving an image suitable for the medical diagnosis and excellent in sharpness. SOLUTION: The heat developable photosensitive material has at least one photosensitive layer containing at least one photosensitive silver halide, a non- photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent for silver ions and a binder on one face of a transparent substrate and at least one non-photosensitive back layer on the other face. The non-photosensitive back layer contains at least one colorant having its absorption maximum at 300-450 nm wavelength and the photosensitive layer contains at least one colorant for anti-irradiation.
