PURPOSE:To produce a scroll having high strength and light by forming under pressurizing Al or Al alloy containing as dispersing strengthened fibers and ceramic grains, as loading the restraint on the lap part in the metallic mold heated at the same temp. as the above metal. CONSTITUTION:Al or Al alloy containing as dispersing the strengthened fibers such as carbon fibers, etc., and the ceramic grains 2 such as Al2O3, etc., is heated to make to semi-melting condition and set at between the upper and lower mold 7, 8 of the metallic mold. The upper and lower mold 7, 8 is heated and held at almost same temp. as Al or Al alloy's by heaters 12, 13. Next, the upper mold 7 is descended, and also the constant restraint F is given to the lap part 3 by a back pressure pin 9, to form under pressurizing Al or Al alloy. In this way, the prescribed lap 3 end plate 4, flange 5 are shaped integrally in one body and the scroll having high strength, in which the strengthened fibers and ceramic grains are distributed as flowing from the end plate 4 to the lap 3, is obtd.
