PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device that sequentially records a desired area onto succeeding pages in the case that the number of designated areas on one original exceeds a recordable limit of recording paper. SOLUTION: An image edit section 11 calculates how many trimming designation areas can be laid out on a size of recording paper among n-sets of trimming designation areas of the recording paper with a designated size (let number of laid out areas be m). In the case of n-m>=0, (S19; Y), the image edit section 11 lays out n-sets of the trimming designation area images on the recording size with the designated size (S20). Then n-sets of the trimming designation area images laid out by the image edit section 11 on the recording paper with the designated size are recorded and the processing is finished. In the case of n-m<0 (N; S19), m-sets of the trimming designation area images in the n-sets of the trimming designation area images are laid out in the image edit section 11 and recorded on the recording paper with the designated size (S22). Then a value (n-m) is newly set to (n) (S23) and the recorded page is fed (S24) and the processing returns to the step S18.
