SOLUTION: The display data are displayed on an information display part 1a of an organic EL display 1, and the dummy data are displayed on a luminance detecting display part 1b. An illuminance detection part 6 detects a value corresponding to the illuminance for the organic EL display 1, and a luminance detection part 7 detects the luminance of the luminance detecting display part 1b. An MPU 12 of a control part 4 fetches the output signals of the illuminance detection part 6 and the luminance detection part 7, and generates the luminance setting data LC by comparing with the beforehand formed reference data to output them to a decoder circuit 8. A resistance value of a resistance array 10 is set based on the output signal of the decoder circuit 8, and a current value supplied to the organic EL element of the organic EL display 1 is controlled based on the resistance value, and the luminance of the organic EL display 1 is controlled.
