PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the influence of a protective switch in a tandem connection trail in an SDH or SONET system by preventing the expansion of signal interference caused by the protective switch. SOLUTION: This synchronous hierarchical network system and this data transmitting method use at least one path segment between a 1st network element (A) and at least a 2nd network element (F), establish a tandem connection monitoring (TC) method to monitor information on the path segment and have a means for minimizing interference of a signal transmission path, distortion or signal interference caused by the loss of multi-frame alignment after a switching operation.
