PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a KANJI (Chinese character) font data retrieving method and its device which can easily retrieve or prepare external character font data. SOLUTION: This KANJI font data retrieving method which stores various information about KANJI and the KANJI font data in a storage medium and retrieves the KANJI font data with the various information as a retrieval key, defines at least one visual element obtained by disassembling KANJI other than a radical as 'TSUKURI (right-hand side radical of a Chinese character)', stores KANJI and 'TSUKURI' in the storage medium while making at least one 'TSUKURI' correspond to one KANJI and can perform retrieval with the 'TSUKURI' as a retrieval key. |
