PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device and its drive method reproducing/ displaying a higher definitive image from a less information amount of a low resolution image, etc. SOLUTION: Main pixels 11 and sub-pixels 12 are arranged on a substrate of a display part 1 in matrix. The main pixels 11 are provided on places that a data line 4 intersects with a scanning line 5, and are applied with a voltage from a switching means of a transistor, etc. connected to the data line 4 and the scanning line 5. The sub-pixel 12 receives a signal of an applied voltage to the main pixels 11 and the sub-pixels 12 arranged on the periphery of itself through an auxiliary line 6, and makes it an input to an operation circuit provided at every pixel, and applies an output from the operation circuit to a pixel electrode of itself. The operation circuit is constituted as the circuit realizing logic operation or numerical operation so that the sub-pixel 12 outputs the applied voltage so as to interpolate the display by the main pixel 11.
