PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cup feeding device which can accurately detect the presence/absence of cups regardless of the size of the cups without requiring he adjusting work of a cup detecting mechanism even when the size of the cups is changed. SOLUTION: A cup detecting member 24 having a notched section 24A is set up at the position corresponding to a prescribed inserting amount into a housing section 16A. When cups run out and no cup exists at the detecting position of the detecting member 24, the member 24 is turned by means of a coil spring 26 until the notched section 24A comes to the position of an optical switch 25. Consequently, the light emitted from a light receiving section 25A is received by means of a light receiving section 25B through the notched section 24A and the runout of the cups is detected.
