<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasifier/combustor requiring no extra fuel for enhancing gasification or combustion efficiency and can be manufactured at a low cost while simplifying the structure. SOLUTION: A fuel supply section 2 supplies combustible material 1 to a cylindrical furnace 3 by rotating a screw. The cylindrical furnace 3 is formed into a vertically elongated cylinder having an opening 3a at the lower end and combustible material 1 supplied from the fuel supply section 2 is gasified or combusted and produced gas is exhausted. A plurality of slag catch layers 6a, 6c, 6d and 6e are laid in the hollow inner section 4 of the cylindrical furnace 3 to have a large number of hole parts 6b and gaps 6i. The combustible material 1 is received thereat and gasified or combusted and slag 8 containing molten slag drops through the hole parts 6b and gaps 6i. A containing section 7 disposed below the opening 3a contains the slag 8 containing molten slag flowing down on the slag catch layers 6a, 6c, 6d and 6e.</p> |
