Automatic flushing initialization method

The proposed automatic flushing initialization method is intended for lavatories (2) with electrically controlled shut-off valve (5) in water supply (4) and with a temperature sensor (12) being arranged in a siphon trap (9) and whose signals are evaluated by an electronic unit (14) for the control of the shut-off valve (5). Based on values transmitted by the temperature sensor (12) the control and evaluation electronic unit (14) determines temperature gradient and if a present minimum value of the temperature gradient is exceeded the flushing is initialized. Initialization of flushing is preferably carried out with a certain time delay.
