PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form the driving system of the laterally carrying device of a reaping section having an arch-less type driving structure without interfering the carrying of grain straws, while avoiding the increase of the weight and the complication of the structure. SOLUTION: A laterally carrying device 10 for gathering raised and reaped grain straws at a laterally central position and then carrying the gathered grain straws is disposed in a reaping section, and a laterally extended reaping transmission shaft 16 to whose laterally central position an input shaft for inputting a power from a machine frame is interlocked and connected and to whose both right and left ends vertical longitudinal transmission shafts 17 for driving raising devices 7 are interlocked and connected is disposed in the lower end portion of the reaping section. The rotation axis Y of the laterally carrying device 10 and an axis Z of a lower shaft portion 17b interlocked with the reaping transmission shaft 16 in the vertical longitudinal transmission shafts 17 are disposed in parallel to each other.
