<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side air bag which is light and excellent in air tightness and which can be compactly stored. SOLUTION: The side air bag is an air bag for protecting the side part, which is formed into a bag-like shape by allowing two foundation cloths to be adhesively fastened by hollow weave, and as the main foundation cloths, the cloths in which raw yarn, the denier of which is 210 denier or less are used, are favorably used. The shape should be drawn by combinations of straight lines parallel to warp or weft of the hollow part of the hollow weave. With this side air bag, heat resisting elastomer is characteristically given to the whole main foundation cloths. The manufacturing method of the side air bag, is characterized by preparation of the hollow weave by means of a weaving machine with a dobby device.</p> |
