PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat back support device capable of reducing a load to a rotation part of a seat back and a reclining mechanism part. SOLUTION: A support frame 24 for supporting a seat back is supported to a mounting plate 23 of a second mounting bracket 22 fixed to a seat frame 3. A slide frame 41 is fixed to a lower portion of the mounting plate 23 and a wheel 43 is provided on the slide frame 41. A lower mounting bracket 47 is provided on the slide frame 41 and a support rod 48 is provided on the lower mounting bracket 47. The support rod 48 is constituted by a lower fixing portion 52 pivotally supported to the lower mounting bracket 47; an upper fixing portion 54 pivotally supported to an upper mounting bracket 32 of the support frame 24; and a height-adjusting rod 55 for connecting both fixing portions 52, 54. A length dimension of the support rod 48 can be variably adjusted with no stage by turning the height-adjusting rod 55.
