PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the realization of catheter having small diameter so that the inner parts of blood vessels can be observed by high resolution. SOLUTION: The catheter of this invention is used for operation of the inside of blood vessels, and is provided with a laser or a LED to emit near infrared ray and a light receiving element to receive reflected infrared light. This has the feature which the inner parts of blood vessels can be visualized by image treatment. The resolution of more than 100 micrometer by ultrasonic wave, can be reduced to less than 10 micrometer using near infrared ray. |
