FOUR-CYCLE MULTI-VALVE ENGINE FOR SMALL PLANING BOAT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a four-cycle multi-valve engine for a small planing boat capable of facilitating the steering of the small planing boat by satisfactorily keeping a lateral weight balance with respect to the body centerline of the small gliding ship. SOLUTION: This four-cycle multi-valve engine for the small planing boat comprises a crankshaft 9 extending in longitudinal direction of a body 2 and a plurality of suction valves 15 and exhaust valves 16, and disposes an engine proper 3A therein as tilted laterally to either of right and left sides. The number (three) of the suction valves 15 disposed on the anti-inclination side of the engine proper 3A is increased more than that (two) of the exhaust valves 16 disposed on the other side.
