PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide rabbit fats having cosmetic and medical purposes which have been so far in no existence as animal fats from a raw material of fats organs of an animal which is kept with the same componential feed and under a microbiologically controlled environment, by considering that animal fats such as beef tallow, lard, horse fats, etc., prepared are suitable as edible ones, are useful as a raw material for cosmetic and medical purposes and has been tried to apply to various kinds of applications, but that these materials are prepared from fat organs of animals which are kept under various environment and with various componential animal foods or are captured, and also provide a method for preparation thereof. SOLUTION: Rabbit fats can be obtained with a high productivity due to a raw material with a stable quality, by using as a raw material fat organs of rabbits which are kept with the same componential feed and under a microorganismically controlled environment. These rabbit fats are rich in linoleic acid andα-linolenic acid, containsγ-linolenic acid which is rarely found in the common and other animal oils and fats, and in particularly are most suitable for cosmetic and medical purposes.
