Symmetric bis-indenyl ligands and process for their preparation

Ligands are described, having general formula (I) wherein R and R1, the same or different, are selected from H, a linear or branched alkyl containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an alkoxyl having the general formula -OR3 wherein R3 is a C1-C4 alkyl group; R2 is selected from H and a C1-C4 alkyl group. The process for the preparation of the above ligands is also described.
