PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deficiency in close contact between a toner sheet and an image receiving sheet constituting a recording medium caused by the unevenness on the surface of a recording rotary drum. SOLUTION: A cushioning sheet 9, an image receiving sheet 10 and a toner sheet 11 are successively placed on a recording rotary drum 3 having suction holes and a suction groove 22 for sucking a recording medium. Further, a correction member 12 is provided on the part wider than the image receiving sheet 10 of the toner sheet 11 to correct the difference in level between the toner sheet 11, the image receiving sheet 10 and the cushioning sheet 9. The cushioning sheet 9 is placed on the surface on the side having cushioning properties thereof before the image receiving sheet 10 is supplied to absorb the unevenness on the surface of the drum.
