PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive self-supported manually lifting type washstand with a simple structure in which at least a sink of the washstand can be freely lifted or lowered. SOLUTION: Fixing struts 1 are provided on leg frames 3, 3 and 15 along the vertical directions thereof. Movable struts 2 are provided along the fixing struts so as to be freely lifted vertically. On the upper end 13 of a movable frame having the movable struts, a sink 6 is supported. The movable frame is supported by a hydraulic gas spring 9 for locking a lifting operation by preventing the movement of oil. The locking and unlocking operations of the hydraulic gas spring are performed by a tread switch 4.
