METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION OF LINEAR COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE: A method for controlling operation of linear compressor is provided to prevent stroke change caused by repeated passage through the unstable region. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step(S101) of obtaining a phase difference(theta1) of the current and voltage; a step(S102) of comparing the refrigerator temperature and the reference temperature; a step(S103) of increasing the stroke command value if the refrigerator temperature is higher than the reference; a step(S104) of obtaining a phase difference(theta2) after increasing the stroke command value; a step(S105) of measuring the actual stroke value; a step(S106) of comparing the actual stroke value and the stroke command value; a step(S107) of obtaining the difference(E) between phase differences(theta1-theta2) if the actual stroke value is higher than the stroke command value; a step(S108,S109) of checking whether the difference(E) is higher than 20 degrees and whether either of two phase differences falls within -5 to 5 degrees; a step(S110) of setting the stroke command value to the actual stroke value, if yes; a step(S111) of decreasing the stroke command value if the refrigerator temperature is lower than the reference; a step(S112) of obtaining a phase difference(theta2'); a step(S113) of measuring the actual stroke value; a step(S114) of comparing the actual stroke value and the stroke command value; a step(S115) of obtaining the difference(E') between phase differences(theta1-theta2'); a step(S116,S117) of checking whether the difference(E') is higher than 20 degrees and whether either of two phase differences falls within -5 to 5 degrees; and a step(S118) of setting the stroke command value to the actual stroke value, if yes.
