PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel electrolyte lithium battery with improved charging and discharging performance and a low temperature charging and discharging characteristics. SOLUTION: The lithium battery has at least a generator element consisting of a cathode, an anode and a separator. At least a portion of the generator element employs a gel electrolyte consisting of a polymer and an electrolyte. A concentration of lithium salt in the electrolyte is in the range of 1.5 to 5 moles per one liter of the electrolyte. Also, the polymer contained in the gel electrolyte is preset at a weight fraction ranging from 5 to 30% by weight against the total weight of the polymer and the electrolyte. |
