PURPOSE: An announcement device of a digital mobile communication exchange and a method thereof, are provided to equip one more announcement device processing a 128-channel time slot to process a 256-channel time slot, and to make one GSI(Global Service Interface) control a corresponding announcement device to perform an announcement service, so that more subscribers can receive the announcement service. CONSTITUTION: Whether a start request signal of announcement devices(30,30') is received from a GSC(Global Service Control,10) is decided. If received, a GSI(Global System Interface)(20) decides whether a time slot is larger than 127. If the time slot is under 127, control data are written to indicate an announcement start to a corresponding time slot area of a transmission flag in an input/output dual port RAM inside the first announcement device(30). A message number to be transmitted to a corresponding address of a command area in the input/output dual port RAM is written. If the time slot is larger than 127, control data are written to indicate that an announcement start to a corresponding time slot area of a transmission flag in the input/output dual port RAM inside the second announcement device(30'). A message number to be transmitted to a corresponding address of a command area in the input/output dual port RAM is written. The transmission flags of the input/output dual port RAM inside the first and the second announcement devices(30,30') are scanned at predetermined cycles, to read control data. A voice message corresponding to the message number recorded in the command area is read from a voice memory, and announced to a subscriber through a time switch(60). If an announcement service is completed, a signal informing the completion is transmitted to the GSC(10).
