PURPOSE: An apparatus for a caller ID service is provided to obtain information of the caller by additionally installing the display apparatus without exchanging the present telephone. CONSTITUTION: A telephone line inlet part has a terminal(9) in the outside to connect a telephone line comes from a telephone office. A telephone connecting part has a terminal(5) in the outside to connect with a telephone. A caller ID chip detects the telephone number of a caller if a ring signal is input through the telephone line inlet part. A computer communication part has a terminal(7) in the outside to communicate with a computer. A micro controller receives the telephone number of the caller for outputting the telephone number to the computer through the computer communication part so that an applied program of the computer uses the detected telephone number of the caller.
