PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a series hybrid motor-driven vehicle which can reduce the engine sound and vibrations when the car body of the stock is stopped or runs at a low speed. SOLUTION: A series hybrid motor-driven rolling stock is provided with a vehicle speed sensor 15 which detects the running speed of the vehicle, a target number-of-revolution value outputting means (output request generating section 18) which outputs the target number of revolutions of an engine corresponding to the vehicle speed, and a number-of-revolution detecting means (number-of-revoltion detector 11) which detects the number of revolutions of the engine. The vehicle is also provided with an engine control means (generated energy control amplifier 19) which controls the detected number-of-revolution value of the engine so that the value may become coincident with the number-of- revoltion value of the engine. The target number-of-revolution outputting value means which outputs the target number-of-revolution value of the engine is constituted so that the target number-of-revolution value outputted from the means may become larger as the vehicle speed increases. |
