SERVICE VALVE FOR REFRIGERATING MACHINE

PURPOSE: A service valve for refrigerating machine to completely prevent leakage of refrigerant gas from an outdoor unit during transportation. CONSTITUTION: A service valve comprises an inclined valve seat(32) arranged within a refrigerant circulation pipe(3) communicated to a valve accommodating pipe(2) and which has a wide portion directed toward the valve accommodating pipe and a narrow portion opposite to the wide portion; a spindle valve open/shut-off end(63) formed to have an angle of inclination same as that of the valve seat; a valve packing(64) which is buried in such a manner that only the outer surface of the valve packing is exposed so as to correspond to the inclined outer periphery of the spindle valve open/shut-off end; and an airtight packing(7) installed at a packing aperture(64) formed at the top of a spindle valve(6), and which has a center portion(71) contacting the slide surface(22) of the valve accommodating pipe and a pair of protrusions(72) contacting the slide surface together with the center portion.
