PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage press processing by detecting movement defects of surely raising and lowering ram. SOLUTION: A detection means 15 is provided, so that the bottom dead point position of a rise and fall ram 8 at descent can be detected. A distinction means 21 is provided, so that the bottom dead point position detected by the detection means 15 is distinguished as being within the range of the preset set value from not lying within it. Moreover, an information means 22 is provided so that the movement defects are informed of when the distinction means 21 distinguishes the bottom dead point position not being within the set value. Since the press defects are distinguished on the basis of the bottom dead point position of the rise and fall ram 8 and the causes can be eliminated, coping with various causes of press defects is made possible.
