PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a confocal scanning type microscope constituted so that a part becoming erroneous image data can be precisely detected. SOLUTION: This confocal scanning type microscope is constituted so that an erroneous pixel is detected based on a result obtained by comparing light quantity difference between the light quantity information of a peak time stored in a peak light quantity information storage means and the minimum light quantity stored in a minimum light quantity storage means with a threshold value stored in a threshold value storage means and based on a peak position stored in a height information storage means.
