PURPOSE: A method for dyeing fabrics by adding an absorption improving agent and dyeing material such as charcoal powder to a dye liquor is provided which produces fabrics having uniform dyeing and high fastness. CONSTITUTION: This method comprises the steps of: preparing a dye liquor by adding dyeing material having a particle size of less than 26micrometer and selected from the group consisting of charcoal, loess, mud and elvan to water in a concentration of 5 to 400g/l and then a polyammonium polymer as an absorption improving agent in an amount of 5 to 45g/l; pretreating raw fabrics; dyeing the pretreated raw fabrics with the dye liquor and heat treating; and washing and after treating.
