PURPOSE: An unmanagement Ethernet switch for enabling automatic delivery of changed configuration information, is provided to store corresponding configuration information in a ROM of an option board mounted in an option slot, if configuration forms of each option slot are changed in a structure in which an option slot of the unmanagement Ethernet switch is in a front-load form. CONSTITUTION: A crossbar switch(21) performs a basic main switching function. Option slots(23-1,23-2) are mounted in a lower part of the crossbar switch(21). The first ROM(24) stores configuration information indicating that option boards are not mounted in the first option slot(23-1) and the second option slot(23-2). The second ROM(23-1a) mounted in an option board installed in the first option slot(23-1) stores corresponding configuration information, according to configuration forms of each option slot(23-1,23-2). A bus switch(22) controls the first ROM(24) and the second ROM(23-1a), to select only a corresponding ROM according to configuration forms of each option slot(23-1,23-2) to be connected to the crossbar switch(21).
