PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve uniform layer width regulating action of toner on the outer surface of a developing roller by preventing the distortion of a blade caused by thermal contraction at molding time and improving the flatness of the edge top of a regulating layer. SOLUTION: A long-length base material 10 made of crosslinked rubber of the blade 7 is molded ui advance so that its cross section may be nearly pentagonal, and the recessed groove 12a of a transparent molding die 12, which is constituted of synthetic quartz glass and whose ultraviolet transimissivity is 85% or higher is previously filled with urethane acrylate material being ultraviolet curing resin material. Then, the triangular edge part 10a of the base material is fit in the groove 12a from the above and held therein. Thereafter, the ultraviolet-curing resin material is irradiated by an ultraviolet lamp 15 from the lower side of the transparent molding die in a state where ultraviolet rays are transmitted, whereby the ultraviolet curing resin material is cured at room temperature (ordinary temperature), and the regulating layer 11 having elasticity is attached an formed on the surface of the edge part of the base material. |
