PURPOSE: An unsaturated polyester resin composition which does not deteriorate physical properties of an aromatic button is provided. Also, an aromatic button prepared by hardening the unsaturated polyester resin composition and a method for preparing the same are provided. CONSTITUTION: The aromatic unsaturated polyester resin composition comprises: (i) an unsaturated polyester which is prepared from an acid composed of a saturated di-base acid and an unsaturated di-base acid and a diatomic alcohol; (ii) a denatured polyacrylate; (iii) a polysiloxane; (iv) a polymeric monomer; (v) an aromatic ingredient; and (vi) a hardener. The method for preparing the aromatic button comprises steps of: (i) pouring the unsaturated polyester resin containing the unsaturated polyester, the polymeric monomer, a pigment and the hardening agent into a pipe suitable for the size of button; (ii) hardening the unsaturated polyester resin composition of the step (i) at a temperature of 50-120 deg.C; (iii) cooling down the molded hardened material to room temperature and then taking it out of the pipe; (iv) soaking the molded hardened material in water to soften; and (v) cutting the molded hardened material into button blanks. |
