PURPOSE: A monitor having no power switch is provided to solve a user's inconvenience by automatically turning on/off a power without using a power switch. CONSTITUTION: A power supply(11) converts an input AC 220V alternating current voltage into a voltage level necessary to operations of each part. A memory(12) stores a standard program of a monitor and a display information. A color display tube(13) displays an image on a screen. An image processor(14) processes an R/G/B image signal to display on a screen of the color display tube. A microcomputer(15) controls the power supply(11) according as whether horizontal/vertical synchronous signals from a body are inputted. A deflecting section(16) controls an image signal deflecting operation of the color display tube(13) in response to the horizontal/vertical synchronous signals from the microcomputer(15).
