PURPOSE: A tester for a pipe is provided to prevent a pipe in a complete structure from leaking by examining the pipe precisely before installing. CONSTITUTION: Water is injected into a pipe(2) in sealing an end of the pipe, and a sealing member(10) is put to the other end of the pipe and tightened by a nut(24). First and second wedges(14,20) are contracted from both sides of a through-hole(12) in the sealing member to the inner part. The both protrusions of the sealing member made of soft rubber are expanded and contacted to the inner periphery of the pipe. A pressure gauge(6) is changed according to pressure of compressed air by injecting the compressed air into the pipe through a rubber hose in sealing the both sides of the pipe. The normal pipe is decided in case of the measured value from the pressure gauge to be over the reference value, and the pipe leakage is detected in case of the measured value to be under the reference value.
