METHOD FOR PROCESSING CALL AND HAND-OFF IN ASYNCHRONOUS MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: The method for processing a call and hand-off in an asynchronous mobile communication system is provided to make the interface of message data smooth even though a connected core network has a synchronous type. CONSTITUTION: The connection to an asynchronous radio network is requested, and then the radio network sends a connection complete message and the information of a DCCH(Dedicated Control CHannel) to an asynchronous terminal(S1-S3). The terminal sends the information of its capability to the radio network, and transmits an origination message thereto when a response to a set DCCH is received(S4-S6). The radio network sends the message regarding the reception of the origination message to a synchronous core network, and sets wired resources based on the information from the synchronous core network(S7,S8). The radio network extracts ciphering information from the basic information for allocating radio resources(S9-S11). The radio network sends the information for setting the radio resources to the terminal(S12,S13). The radio resources are set(S14-S18). The terminal completes the formation of service(S19-S23). The radio network sends an assignment complete message to the core network(S24-S26).
