At least one(64,72) of the clutch arrangements is constructed as a disc clutch, with some discs in one disc packet having at least one friction lining and some discs having no friction lining, and which are brought into frictional engagement. Some of the discs having no friction lining are thicker in the axial direction than the friction lining backing of adjacent discs having at least one friction lining. In the disc packet there may be discs with a friction lining of sintered material, and discs with a friction lining made of another material which has a progressive friction value curve with regard to a slip RPM. An Independent claim is included for the drive train of a motor vehicle with a proposed clutch unit between the drive unit and transmission.
