The film winding machine has an upper support (3) for the shaft (4) of the winding roller which is attached to the top (1) of the frame. This can slide between a winding position and a position for removing a complete reel of film. A lower support (3') for the shaft (4')of a second winding roller is attached to the bottom (1') of the frame and can move in the same way. A pressure roller (8) is mounted near the winding positions and presses against a completed reel of film while it is moved to the discharge position and a new roller is brought into position. A cutter blade (9) is mounted between the pressure roller and the winding roller shaft to sever the film when a reel is completed.
