APPARATUS FOR FINISHING INSIDE DIAMETER OF WORK

In a finishing apparatus, a plurality of works are retained at distances in a direction of an X-axis. Disposed on a movable table movable in the direction of the X-axis are a single spindle which has an axis parallel to an axis of each of bores to be finished, and which is capable of being advanced and retracted axially, and a measuring means which can measure an inside diameter of each of the finished bore and which is capable of being advanced and retracted independently from the spindle in a direction along the axis of each of the finished bores . A combination tool is mounted at a tip end of the spindle and capable of finishing an inner surface of any of the bores to be finished, even if the position of insertion of the combination tool into each of the bores is changed. Thus, in the finishing treatment of a plurality of works each having a plurality of bores different in diameter, and the measurement of the finished bores after completion of the finishing treatment in the finishing apparatus , a change in type of the work can simply be dealt with and hence, the apparatus can be constructed at a low cost.
