The invention concerns a process for obtaining a crystal of a material with incongruent melting and formed from at least a first element and a second element, for example by: setting in vertical alignment and maintaining under controlled atmosphere, a bar of the first element (1) enclosed between a bottom bar (3) and a top bar (2) consisting of said material; transforming the bar of first element (1) in a float zone by heating at a temperature inhibiting evaporation of the first element, the heating being provided by heating means (7) producing a temperature gradient in the float zone such that the lower surface of the top bar (2) constitutes a cold side; counter-rotating the bottom (3) and top (2) bars about an axis of alignment and moving the assembly of bars upwards relative to the heating means to obtain on the cold side, by growth in solution, said crystal. |
