METHOD FOR DETECTING COMBUSTION MISSES

The invention relates to a method for detecting combustion misses in combustion engines. According to said method, a measure of the unsmooth running of the combustion engine is formed and compared with a threshold value which is dependent on the load of the combustion engine. A value exceeding the threshold value is considered a miss. The method is characterized in that the threshold value is dependent not only on the load but also on the ignition angle and/or the lambda value, in that the measure of unsmooth running is also formed in dependence on the ignition angle and/or the lambda value and/or in that the miss detection process is activated/deactivated in dependence on at least the ignition angle and/or the lambda value.
