The sauna has an enclosed space (1) insulated from outside and containing inlets for fresh air. Heaters and or humidifiers for one or more horses are controlled externally. At least one rear exit (3) for the horses has, in front of it, a detachable access-barrier (8), and tethers (9) for the horses. The sauna stove(s) (11) is/are screened by a screen (10). The non-slip floor tilts towards a water drainage gutter (13). The outward-opening doors (2,3) as entrance and exit preferably incorporate windows (4,5). A further window (6) is at eye-level with the horses, in the wall (7) facing the stoves.
