<p>Coating dispersions soluble in the lower digestive tract which are prepared by blending hydroxypropylmethylcellulose acetate succinate (HPMCAS) soluble at around pH 7 with a conventional plasticizer and an anionic surfactant and further adding an acid thereto, wherein the HPMCAS has an average particle diameter of 10 νm or less and dispersed at a concentration of from 2 to 20% by weight, and the acid is used in an amount of 1 to 10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of HPMCAS; and sustained release coated preparations capable of releasing drugs in the large intestine (i.e., the lower digestive tract) too which are prepared by coating drug-containing solid preparations such as granular cores with the above coating dispersions.</p> |
