PURPOSE: A data speed matching device for an exchanger is provided so that transmission speed matching performance of data can be considerably improved by embodying an IWF(InterWorking Function) in hardware. CONSTITUTION: A channel control unit(20) transmits a control signal to a first speed matching unit(22) according to a board identification signal. That is, the channel control unit(20) transmits channel information to the first speed matching unit(22) to extract one channel from at least one sub-highway. The first speed matching unit(22) receives the control signal from the channel control unit(20), senses initial synchronization of the data speed matching function, and outputs the sensing signal to a second speed matching unit(26). An address decoding unit(24) is connected to a central processing unit, an address bus and a data bus, for transmitting or receiving the data of the second speed matching unit(26) designated by an address map. An interrupt control unit(28) intermediates the second speed matching unit(26) and the central processing unit, so that the second speed matching unit(26) can communicate with the central processing unit. The second speed matching unit(26) is intermediated by the address decoding unit(24) and the interrupt control unit(28), stores the initial synchronization sensing signal from the first speed matching unit(22) and the wireless local data from the sub-highway, and performs the data speed matching function. As a result, the data transmission speed matching performance is remarkably improved, by embodying the IWF technology in hardware.
