PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for stain and smudge remover capable of settling following problems of conventionals; their use is limited to stain removing of textile, they are able to remove oily smudge such as animal and plant oil and mineral oil but unable to remove so called aqueous smudge such as coffee, juice, black tee, sauce, soy sauce and fruit juice. These are caused by water repellency of cyclohexane as the main component. SOLUTION: This remover is obtained by mixing acetone to suppress water repellency of cyclohexane and to have hydrophilicity. By adding a functional component of acetone miscible to water and all other solvents at any ratio, the remover is able to remove hydrophilic smudge and is not affected the effectiveness of cyclohexane able to remove the smudge of animal and plant oil and mineral oil and a solvent composition capable of removing almost all stain and smudge is obtained.
