PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet ray sterilizing device for efficiently sterilizing a fluid to be sterilized by setting a UV lamp to mostly suitable illumination. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an intermediate pressure UV lamp and a control means. An input power of the UV lamp is switched to a larger input voltage from an initial input voltage with a previously set time spacing such that the control means maintains larger illumination than the illumination at a previously set exchange time of the UV lamp.
