PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide bricks arranged at the tail end portion of a ridge especially at the rear end portion of the ridge without impairing the appearance of the roof, thereby providing the bricks protecting the tail end portion of the ridge. SOLUTION: The brick is a box type brick 1 arranged to cover the end portion of the ridge; this brick 1 has a polygonal top surface 2 and side surfaces 3 extended from the top surface 2 to each side; at least one of the side surfaces 3 has a cutting made to coincide with the vertical cross section in the length direction of the ridge, and the inside of the brick 1 is made in such a manner that a notched portion receiving the tail end portion can be formed.
